Arizona State University is proud to present ReMix the Future, a premiere four-day creative design challenge hosted October 15 – 18, 2026 at the Media and Immersive Experience (MIX) Center, ASU’s state-of-the-art facility in Mesa, Arizona, for film, media arts, design and emerging technology programs.
Applications are now open for local and global artists, designers, technologists and students 18+ to apply to become an official 2026 ReMixer.

As a ReMixer, you’ll join a collaborative challenge team at the MIX Center to remix production workflows and tackle our 2026 theme: Play Attention!
In 2026, we invite small teams to remix the creative tools of the Enhanced Immersion Studio and The Volume at the MIX Center to design immersive experiences rooted in play as an act, a mindset, and a shared reality.
We challenge you to build worlds with their own internal "play logic"— realms that transform passive audiences into active, fully bought-in participants who are ready to pretend, explore, and co-create a reality together.
Please submit your application by Sept. 30. Filling out this application does not commit you to attending. Once submitted, you'll receive a confirmation email, followed by an official acceptance status update later on.
A $25 one-time, non-refundable application fee is required to apply, which directly supports our comprehensive review process. Because space in our signature tracks is limited and competitive, applications are reviewed and official invitations will be extended on a rolling basis through September 30. Once invited, formally accept your invitation to secure your spot in your desired track; unconfirmed spots will be passed to our waitlist. As an official ReMixer, you’ll unlock full access to the experience, including exclusive track studios and supplies, expert mentorship, official event swag and our community Discord.
In addition to signature tracks, ReMix will offer a workshops-only track covering special topics related to the MIX Center research, including game design, drone art, robotics and more. Stay tuned for workshop details announced in September!
