Overview
Atmospheric water extraction or harvesting (AWH) is emerging as a potential solution to global water challenges, spanning from humanitarian and domestic drinking water needs to military operations or industrial water usage. Various industries, including beverage, healthcare, semiconductor, and data centers, are investing in research, pilot tests, and the integration of AWH into their water portfolio to achieve net-zero water footprints. Breakthroughs in material science, thermodynamics, and integrated process engineering are advancing AWH as an economical solution to be a new water source for these applications. The water quality produced by AWH is emerging as a new research area requiring attention
The 2nd International Atmospheric Water Harvesting Summit, hosted at Arizona State University, was created to encourage collaboration, and tackle the technical challenges posed by AWH:
• Water production rates
• Energy efficiency
• Microclimate impact
• Air quality influence on water quality
• Scaling innovations
Instructions for Abstract Submission
To submit an abstract for consideration of an oral or poster presentation enter your email below, select your registration category, and click on the Continue button to complete the submission. Abstracts are due on December 15, 2024 and should be 250 words or less . All abstracts will be independently reviewed and scored by the organization committee. International Atmospheric Water Harvesting Association (IAWHA) Membership
Please take advantage of becoming a member of the International Atmospheric Water Harvesting Association (IAWHA) during our inaugural membership drive. No dues will be required for membership in the IAWHA through December 2025. Please take advantage of this opportunity as we strive to build a community of experts from around the world focused on Atmospheric Water Harvesting. Check out the IAWHA website at www.iawha.org for a review of our two international webinars, recorded interviews, and current AWH articles.
This event provides an excellent chance to explore Arizona, and we encourage attendees to extend their stay over the weekend. Registration costs are being kept minimal (Starting at $200 for IAWHA Members ($25 for Student IAWHA Members) )
