Join The Sidney Poitier New American Film School for a special Speaker Series engagement with Emmy Award-nominated director Randal Kleiser and Emmy Award-nominated producer Michael Peyser as they discuss the new frontier of emerging technologies in filmmaking. Kleiser is a member of the Sci Tech Council of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and his varied filmography (“Grease,” “Flight of the Navigator,” “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid”) has been at the forefront of technical innovation. Peyser is a celebrated producer of major studio pictures and independent films (“Matilda,” “Desperately Seeking Susan,” “Hackers”) and has taught at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. Together, Kleiser and Peyser talk through the challenges and opportunities of emerging tech like A.I. and how creators can harness the hurricane of innovation.
