Spook-tober Collection Tours!

Hear ye, creatures of the Greater Phoenix realm - curious mortals, mummies, zombies, witches, and warlocks alike!

You are invited to creep, crawl, or fly on over to the ASU Biocollections for a frightfully delightful behind-the-scenes halloween-themed tour of the eerie wonders of nature, where you will discover how real creatures rival the monsters of myth!

This Spooktacular Tour Features:

 The Vertebrate Collection


Marvel at an astonishing array of claws, fangs, and skulls - awe-inspiring remains of creatures   shaped and sharpened across the ages by the harsh realities of surviving in the wild. 

 

 The Lichen Herbarium


Explore the delightfully odd world of lichens with mystical chemical powers! Learn how these curious organisms boast a variety of properties ripe for alchemy, that could serve any witch or warlock in brewing up a potent potion.


 

 

 The Entomology Collection


Meet insects that deceive, pack a venomous punch, and are steeped in superstition, as well as some that are so dazzlingly strange or gem-like, you might swear they’re supernatural!

 

 

Get ready for an evening of frightfully bewildering wildlife stories, eerie oddities, and maybe even a few goosebumps.
