Celebrate Spooky Season with a month of spooky movies at the ASU Mix Center, curated by The Sidney Poitier New American Film School. The series kicks off with a Hispanic Heritage Month selection of Guillermo del Toro’s debut 1992 feature “Cronos” (Oct. 2), followed by David Cronenberg’s 1979 maternal body horror chiller “The Brood” (Oct. 9), the 1962 cult favorite “Carnival of Souls” (Oct. 16) and George A. Romero’s iconic 1968 classic “Night of the Living Dead.” All screenings begin at 6 p.m. on Thursdays and are free and open to the public.
