Borderlands Studios Master Class and Screening Series: Aurora Guerrero

Join acclaimed director Aurora Guerrero for a master class on her " Unimaginable Journey" as a filmmaker from a working class, first generation background to the creator of an award-winning feature film. Guerrero will explore how she found her artistic way on her own terms. Particpants will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with Guerrero during a catered reception following the master class. The evening will end with a screening of "Mosquita y Mari," Guerrero's 2012 queer coming-of-agefilm that was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award, a Sundance Film Festival audience award and the Independant Spirit John Cassavetes Award.

5pm: Reception (3rd floor California Center Broadway)

7pm: Film Screening (Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Event Center)

8:30pm: Post screening conversation and Q&A with the filmmaker (Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Center)
