NMI 104 - Engaging and Developing Volunteers (December 2024)
Volunteer programs require the same managerial effort as other organizational operation efforts. There are many factors to consider in ensuring that the experience is positive for both the volunteer and the organization. In this course, you are taught the basics of recruiting, managing, motivating, recognizing, and rewarding staff and volunteers to effectively utilize and retain their strengths and skills.
This is an asynchronous course with specified due dates for each discussion question and class assignment. Students have access to their course contents online 24 hours a day, making it an excellent enrichment option for busy working professionals. Instructional staff are available to aide you with subject questions and help guide you through each weekly course module.” In addition, zoom sessions have been added to each week to provide additional course reinforcement, student-instructor Q & A, and networking for students. Students who are unable to attend the zoom sessions are able to download the zoom sessions and watch them for participation class points.
